A variation on a conveyor, but with added value...

Within any production facility, automation is the way forward when it comes to speed and cost savings. However, for certain operations, manual input is an absolute necessity, and a Wrightfield Pack Station is a prime example.

Wrightfield Pack Stations are a multi layer conveyor system where multiple products are put together by hand and released as a processed product. The most common form of this is the placement by hand of a given item or product into a supply of boxes or trays, which are then sent off for further additions, sealing or packaging.

Within the food industry, Pack Stations are also known as Trim or Weigh Stations. Along the length of the station conveyor, operators will stand with their own work zone, such as a butchery board and weigh scales, trimming raw product into finished goods, weighed and placed into plastic trays for sealing.

These stations can include added value technology, such as indicator lights to informl the operators when to pick up product from the supply conveyor for processing, ensuring an even flow of work along the length of the station. Colour segmented belts can be used to also clearly divide work for operators.
