Steel Poultry Transport Modules

Wrightfield designs and manufactures robust steel poultry modules for the transport and handling of live birds.

Built for repeated use in demanding poultry operations, each module combines heavy-duty construction with carefully considered engineering details designed to improve strength, durability and service life.

A great combination

Engineered for the Demands of Live Bird Transport

Available in different configurations to suit poultry transport and handling requirements, our modules can be paired with Gamma-Wopla poultry transport drawers and integrated with automated live bird handling systems, including ProLoad.

Built Differently. Built to Last.

The flat, clean-top design minimises ledges and areas where dirt, debris and biological material can collect, creating a smooth surface that is easier to wash down and inspect.

The lifting peaks are manufactured from EN8 steel, providing additional strength and wear resistance at these critical contact points while maintaining the module’s clean, robust construction.

Hygienic Top. Strength Where It Matters.

Folded safety edges are incorporated throughout the module to remove exposed sharp edges and create a safer surface for both birds and operators during transport and handling.

The folded construction also adds rigidity and reinforcement to vulnerable edges, combining improved safety with the strength and durability required for repeated everyday use.

Safety Edging Built Into the Design

Strength is engineered into every part of the module, from the heavy-duty box-section frame to the double-band drawer supports that provide additional support where repeated loading and movement place the greatest demands on the structure.

Reinforced rails, robust posts and carefully considered load-bearing points all contribute to a rigid, durable module design.

Strong and Robust By Design

Internally Vented for Complete Protection

All box section within the module is internally vented, eliminating the need for external vent holes that can create additional areas for water, dirt and debris to collect.

During hot-dip galvanising, the internal venting allows the zinc to flow through the hollow sections, coating the steel inside as well as outside.

This provides comprehensive corrosion protection throughout the structure while maintaining cleaner external surfaces for demanding poultry transport and washdown environments.

Designed around the poultry operation

Wrightfield poultry modules can be manufactured in 3, 4 and 5-tier configurations, allowing the design to be matched to transport requirements, drawer configuration and the wider live bird handling process.

Wrightfield also supplies Gamma-Wopla poultry transport drawers designed for the repeated demands of live bird transport and automated handling.

Their robust plastic construction combines strength with effective ventilation, while different drawer depths allow the system to be matched to specific poultry transport requirements.

Designed for stacking within steel poultry modules, they provide an excellent pairing with Wrightfield’s heavy-duty module construction. Go to poultry drawers.

For hatchery operations, Wrightfield also supplies Gamma-Wopla crates designed specifically for the safe and efficient transport of day-old chicks.

Lightweight, well ventilated and easy to handle, the crates can be securely stacked when in use and nested when empty to reduce the space required for storage and return logistics. Go to hatchery crates.
